blu-ray in the passing lane
In the “take it with a grain of salt” category.
eproductwars.com shows that blu-ray sales ranks are picking up steam fast and should supplant HD DVD by the second quarter (my guess, not thiers). Anyway it seems that all those people who bought PS3s and finished Resistance now just want to watch movies. Hmmm. I wonder who predicted that one?

Blu-Ray is getting closer to HD DVD sales on Amazon, but only because there have been very few HD DVD titles released in the past couple of weeks or announced (looks like they are waiting until CES). HD DVD is still consistently outselling Blu-Ray. I expect to see HD DVD spike up again and stay above Blu-Ray once announcements and titles start rolling again.
