Sony’s new SXRD displays are coming, and that’s a good thing. Their previous SXRD displays have been a hit, providing high-quality video images. Now they’re coming out with some lower priced models in various sizes.

- 55″ SXRD KDS-55A2000 - $3,299.99 (down from $4000 previously), shipping 8/16

- 60″ SXRD KDS-60A2000 - $3,699.99 (previously $4500), shipping 7/17

It’s really nice to see the prices have come down. I wouldn’t have such a hard time buying one of these if it weren’t for the fact that I already have an HDTV. That’s pretty hard to justify to my pocketbook and my wife. Besides having a good picture, these sets will also sport 1080p inputs, just the thing for that HD DVD or BD player, or a shiny new PS3.
