Sharp does ‘TrueHD’
Sharp is getting into the 1080p groove. They are introducing 1080p LCD models with 1080p HDMI inputs. Now that BD is coming down the pike, 1080p inputs on 1080p displays are a must. So this is a good trend to see.
Sharp’s first 1080p display seems to be their 37″ LCD display. It’s the one with full 1080p HDMI and DVI inputs. None of Sharp’s other displays have 1080p HDMI inputs, but Sharp has said that from now on, HDMI inputs on 1080p displays will support 1080p.
Not only that, but sharp will be introducing 1080p front projectors this fall. I’m wondering what kind of projectors those will be!!! LCD? Probably.
But the news doesn’t stop there. Sharp will be introducing a BD player this fall, with a 1080p HDMI output.
All of this will be supported by a marketing blitz from Sharp. So look for the ads, because they’re a’ comin’!
