Samsung’s SlimFit digital televisiona grabbed that much of the direct-view CRT digital television market. That’s quite an impressive number, but it’s easy to see why. The SlimFit televisions are 30% slimmer than conventional CRT televisions, which is great.

42% of HD CRTs is an impressive statistic. However, I think that number is based on pricing themselves much lower than Panasonic and Sony, rather than having superior technology. Additionally, Samsung is one of the very few brands of 27″ tube HDTVs you can buy at Circuit City or Best Buy.
