Sharp LC65D90U Aquos Shipping

Texans probably won’t notice this TV sitting in their dens, but at 65″ the rest of us sure will. Even when you’re not watching anything. Well, unless you put up an endless loop of wood panelling or something.

Yup, you saw it right. Sharp is shipping a 65″ LCD HDTV. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (yay!) and a 4000:1 contrast ratio. Well, the DHC press release says 4000:1. The Sharp website says 800:1. Okay… It includes a CableCARD slot, a DVI input, and an HDMI. No mention is made whether or not the HDMI input accepts 1080p signals.

But man that thing is big!
