Too bad the downconverted SD signal looks like crap! I watched the CFL Western Final on CBC in Standard Def. and there was so much pixelization and line jitter in was almost unwatchable. About 15 minutes in it cleared up somewhat so I guess someone at CBC made some adjustments. HD is great but the networks shouldn’t forget that 98% of their audience still watchs in SD!

The scaler looks to be doing a bad job, which isn’t good for SD viewing. Wouldn’t you rather have an HDTV anyway?
